Intro

You are on or just after a major life change, you have worked on many aspects of yourself, but sexuality has been forgotten in the mix. When you bring up what you want to work on, people deny that what you describe is a problem or tell you that it will all fall into place naturally. That has not been the case, and you don’t want to accept mediocre. Neither does your body. Pain, discomfort, or shame could be limiting your pleasure or you could want to build on what you already have because you suspect there is more. But you don’t know how.

Benefits

Your awareness of your body, arousal, what you want and how you hold it will be heightened. This will bring more pleasure, intentionality and creativity to your daily life. Instead of waiting for a partner to reach out to you, you will begin to explore what brings you pleasure. Instead of wondering if ´that was it´ you will know what variables to play with to heighten, spread or reduce sensations. You will start using sexuality as fuel rather than something to be hidden, shamed or done as an afterthought or obligation. You are right, there is more to sexuality than you were told.

The Sessions

Our first session covers what you’ve come to explore, why, and your relationship with sexuality throughout your life. After this first meeting, I will suggest what could be helpful to explore. You decide what to try. I will adapt to your comfort zone and interest while offering ways to expand them.

We will typically spend a session on one topic, such as breath, anatomy, masturbation, thought patterns, or specific sensations. I will present the topic to you in multiple ways – first you experience it, then we bring it into awareness by naming and learning about it, and finally you explore and play with it in session or on your own afterwards. Throughout, we talk about what you notice, engaging both the body and the mind.

Sessions last 60 minutes unless otherwise discussed and are 90 EUR, payable in the currency of your choice.

Boundaries

We both stay clothed and there will be no genital touch during sessions. Self touch and explorations are encouraged in your own space between sessions.

I am a sexologist. I am not a therapist. We can work on anything around sexuality, and it may spark change in other areas of your life but I do not work with psychological issues such as depression, generalized anxiety or coping skills. I’d encourage you to see a therapist or coach for those issues while we work on sexuality together.

This work is trauma informed but not trauma based. If this comes up in our work I can reference you to another professional.

About Heather Catherine

My training grew from my avid curiosity about sexuality in all its dimensions, first for myself and then to share. It started with ISTA and temple culture where sexuality became more than just orgasm and pleasure regained its creativity. Then I found there was vocabulary for sensations, processes and parts that I did not know so I did a masters in sexology in Portugal. To fill in the gaps between, I found the Sexocorporel program in France and Somatic Sexology in England.

I have worked hard to access a large range of sexology and experiences to meet clients where they are and not drag them into a single, fixed approach or idea with me.
